Watch The Trailer To Tyler Perrys 'For Colored Girls' - BV on Movies

Lionsgate has released the trailer to Tyler Perry's 'For Colored Girls,' which will open nationally on November 5.




Directed by Tyler Perry, the film stars Janet Jackson, Loretta Devine, Kimberly Elise, Thandie Newton, Phylicia Rashad, Anika Noni Rose, Kerry Washington, Whoopi Goldberg, Macy Gray, Michael Ealy, Hill Harper, Khalil Kain, Omari Hardwick and Richard Lawson.



Based on Ntozake Shange's award-winning 1975 play of the same name, 'For Colored Girls' onsists of a series of poems performed through a cast of nameless women known only by a color. The characters deal with subjects such as love, abandonment, rape and abortion.

Each character brings a unique twist to fashion. Whether it’s Samantha’s sexy attire or Charlotte’s Park-Avenue-proper attire, each woman has something different to offer.

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker)- Carrie is the funky fashionista who isn’t afraid to take chances. She wears everything from fur coats and tie-dyed leggings to sparkly 1940’s dresses and vintage clothing with fancy extras. She’s always in a pair of stilettos regardless of the occasion or outfit. Her favorite designers include Dolce and Gabbana, Christian Dior, Manolo Blahnik and Prada.

Miranda (Cynthia Nixon)- In the early seasons of the show, Miranda was very androgynous. Her masculine cut suits were accompanied with extremely skinny ties and her short hair was slicked back. Miranda loosened up around the second season with more feminine fitting suit separates and showed a little more skin. However, when Miranda is not at the office she wears curve hugging dresses and flaunts her strappy shoes and matching bag.

Samantha (Kim Cattrall)- Samantha is the epitome of sexy and “va-va-voom”. She wears bright colored outfits that make her stand out that are tight and low cut. She has a great body and isn’t afraid to let everyone know it. She’s also a big fan of chunky earrings and bracelets that are bright colored, if not neon.

Charlotte (Kristin Davis)- As Carrie says in season one, Charlotte is a “Park Avenue Pollyanna” and definitely dresses the part. Charlotte sashays down Park Avenue in her Burberry raincoat, crisp white button-up collard shirts and navy blue capri pants. Charlotte is a fan of Coco Chanel and gravitates towards anything Jackie Onassis would’ve worn.

current work, “trying to find my way…” is an exploration into perception. These images are single exposures that capture the complexity of Houston’s metropolitan landscape by presenting an unfiltered view of it. One third of the human brain is devoted to processing 8960 kilobits of information per second. [1] My objective is to arrest the brain’s split-second arrangements, assumptions and filtering systems by pausing the subconscious deconstruction process; I want to create a moment of reflections, exploration and possibility.

Andrea's HOPE is a non for profit organization created by friends to help surpress hunger in the Houston Homeless Community.

met-a-mor-pho-sis: *noun ( transformation, modification, remodeling, reconstruction) a profound transformation change in form ,from one stage to the next in the life history.(from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages by natural or super natural means) Leaving all things that are dead behind, walking into a new being. Purposeful living up to what GOD intended you to be here on Earth!

Andrea Everline, originally birthed from GOD, but brought into the world in Washington 27 yrs ago. But Houston has always been home to Andrea. "met-a-mor-pho-sis" accurately describes this POWERFUL woman after God's own heart! She has been im-preg-nat-ed *verb (soaked or saturated) w/ this vision from GOD, to help the Homeless regain their confidence,hope and will to live. By showing them that there are people like herself that do care about them and their well being. At the beginning of this journey, Andrea humbled herself and took a week out of her schedule to go stay on the streets of downtown Houston for 7days in the Blistering summer time (pretty brave of her I know). But that didn't detour Ms. Andrea away from her mission, Thanks be to GOD. From that experience came some miraculous changes in downtown Houston! Since then Andrea has helped @ least three women get off the streets, get proper identification, their own residence and jobs. i even heard that one of the young ladies is now a supervisor @ her job... look @ GOD move! It brings tears of joy to my soul to have cross paths w/such a genuine kind spirit! I truly love Andrea w/ all my heart and soul, and support anything her heart touches! Please help me and celebrate this Virtuous Woman of GOD! Ms.Andrea Everline!!!
